Grid North - Beginner Nav Course (3+ Hours)
Course Description
Grid North is a daytime navigation course designed for complete beginners. Someone who wants to learn all the essential map and compass navigation techniques they’ll need to keep themselves safe on the hill or in wild locations.
Based in Pollok Country Park, the course provides a safe and controlled learning environment with easy access by public transport. The varied terrain and features allow us to introduce navigation concepts in a clear, progressive way without the added pressure of remote hill conditions.
It’s also the perfect course to attend if you want to refresh past knowledge and to keep your skills sharp.

Price: £60 Per Person
Duration: 3+ Hours - 10.00am to 1.00pm (this can vary slightly depending on group size)

What You’ll Need
Suitable outdoor clothing, warm layers and a waterproof jacket.
Footwear for wet, muddy, slippery ground.
The ability to cover un-even ground off the path, including some short sections with uphill and downhill slopes (this will all be at an easy pace).
Note: Maps and compasses are provided for use during the course.
