— Craig Mills, Inverness

“For someone who had little to no knowledge of all things navigation, Adam’s course was amazing. Adam explained things really well, made the course really interesting and managed to help me understand how to read maps, use a compass and navigate in the dark. Adam’s approach was really great and I had a fun filled evening. 100% recommended. Thanks again Adam!”

— Lynn Smith, Glasgow

“Fantastic experience being out with Adam. He's incredibly knowledgeable in the outdoors, and has an excellent manner for teaching. I can honestly say that I learned a lot from Adam, even coming from a background of outdoor experience myself, and it's a pleasure to be out in the hills with him. Can't wait for the next course!”

— Dave P, Glasgow

“Really fun experience to learn navigation and other skills in a controlled outdoors environment. Adam is very patient and highly competent, great knowledge based on all things outdoor-sy. Will definitely attend more courses with AKM and would definitely recommend to others.”

— Michael Bellingham, Glasgow

“Been out on the hills and in the woods with Adam plenty. He's a proper survivalist and bushcrafter and can get a fire going in the wettest conditions”

— Cameron Smith, Glasgow

“Adam is an exceptionally competent leader when it comes to making the decisions which matter in the wilderness. I’ve travelled with him on several occasions, and his forward planning and superb navigational skills have been particularly valuable in getting the group out of complex and potentially dangerous situations in environments as diverse as the Arctic tundra and the Amazon rainforest. I honestly don’t know how we would have fared without him”

— Feargus Cooney, Ullapool

“Went on one of Adam's 3 hour "introduction to navigation" courses. It was brilliant - slowly built our skills over the evening from just what things mean on our maps all the way up to self navigating from one place to another using just our map and compasses! Perfectly paced, lots of little breaks but we were never standing around getting cold and we got back to the car park bang on the three hour mark. Also - some cool added extras dotted through the course! Had a great evening :D”
